Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:</p>
<p>Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:</p>
<p>Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.</p>

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.</p>
<p>Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men.  The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.</p>

He saith unto him, Which?  Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. <h1>Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy</h1>
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
An ill-attuned ear calls discord harmony, not appreciating concord. So physical sense, not discerning the true happiness of being, places it on a false basis.  Science will correct the discord, and teach us life&#8217;s sweeter harmonies.<br />
Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul. Higher enjoyments alone can satisfy the cravings of immortal man. We cannot circumscribe happiness within the limits of personal sense. The senses confer no real enjoyment.<br />
The good in human affections must have ascendency over the evil and the spiritual over the animal, or happiness will never be won.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=60: 24-6' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p60: 24-6 </a></div></div></div>
<p><div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
The sinless joy, — the perfect harmony and immortality of Life, possessing unlimited divine beauty and goodness without a single bodily pleasure or pain, —  constitutes the only veritable, indestructible man, whose being is spiritual.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=76: 22-26' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p76: 22-26 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
A mortal, corporeal, or finite conception of God cannot embrace the glories of limitless, incorporeal Life and Love. Hence the unsatisfied human craving for something better, higher, holier, than is afforded by a material belief in a physical God and man.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=258: 1-6' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p258: 1-6 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and the right understanding of Him restores harmony. Truth will at length compel us all to exchange the pleasures and pains of sense for the joys of Soul.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=390: 7' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p390: 7 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
We should forget our bodies in remembering good and the human race. Good demands of man every hour, in which to work out the problem of being. Consecration to good does not lessen man&#8217;s dependence on God, but heightens it. Neither does consecration diminish man&#8217;s obligations to God, but shows the paramount necessity of meeting them. Christian Science takes naught from the perfection of God, but it ascribes to Him the entire glory. By putting &#8220;off the old man with his deeds,&#8221; mortals &#8220;put on immortality.&#8221;<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=261: 31' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p261: 31 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
Many theories relative to God and man neither make man harmonious nor God lovable. The beliefs we commonly entertain about happiness and life afford no scatheless and permanent evidence of either. Security for the claims of harmonious and eternal being is found only in divine Science.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=232: 3' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p232: 3 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
Science reveals Life as not being at the mercy of death, nor will Science admit that happiness is ever the sport of circumstance.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=250: 30' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p250: 30 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
Jesus reasoned on this subject practically, and controlled sickness, sin, and death on the basis of his spirituality. Understanding the nothingness of material things, he spoke of flesh and Spirit as the two opposites, — as error and Truth, not contributing in any way to each other&#8217;s happiness and existence.  Jesus knew, &#8220;It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing.&#8221;<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=356: 9' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p356: 9 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
It is essential to understand, instead of believe, what relates most nearly to the happiness of being. To seek Truth through belief in a human doctrine is not to understand the infinite.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=285: 32-3' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p285: 32-3 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
It is ignorance and false belief, based on a material sense of things, which hide spiritual beauty and goodness. Understanding this, Paul said: &#8220;Neither death, nor life, . . . nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.&#8221; This is the doctrine of Christian Science:  that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man — governed by God, his perfect Principle — is sinless and eternal.<br />
Harmony is produced by its Principle, is controlled by it and abides with it. Divine Principle is the Life of man. Man&#8217;s  happiness is not, therefore, at the disposal of physical sense.<br />
<div class='qatt'>From <a href='http://scienceandhealth.com' target='book' class='book' title='Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures'> Science and Health</a> <br/>by <a HREF='http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/' target='mbe' class='author' title='Mary Baker Eddy - The Discover and Founder of Christian Science'>Mary Baker Eddy</a> : <a href='http://www.spirituality.com/dt/book_lookup.jhtml?reference=304: 3-19' class='qlink' target='bquote' alt='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com' title='Read the full quote in context on spirituality.com'> p304: 3-19 </a></div></div></div><br />
<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
Happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love. It is unselfish; therefore it cannot exist alone, but requires all mankind to share it.<br />

<div class='csquote'><div class='shquote'><br />
Spiritual development germinates not from seed sown in the soil of material hopes, but when these decay, Love propagates anew the higher joys of Spirit, which have no taint of earth. Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love.<br />
